COVID-19 Coronavirus Updates

4/15/2020 Update -
Through careful consideration and deliberation with the COA Board of Directors, the decision has been made to cancel the remainder of the 2020 COA club season. This decision was based on various factors including, but not limited, to:

1. Uncertainty of this virus continuing to spread
2. Parents' and players' concerns and feedback
3. Other tournaments already being cancelled
4. Schools closed for the remainder of the year
5. Inability to practice and train for any possible future tournaments this season
6. Most importantly-- the health and safety of our players

We understand this scenario is difficult on many levels for players, coaches, and parents. While we wish we were still actively in-season, we are faced with a situation none of us are familiar with.  When the time is appropriate, our club will continue to thrive and push forward-- growing our players as volleyball athletes and young adults.

We know this is especially tough on our Seniors who will have ended their club volleyball career a little early.  We wish them nothing but the best moving forward and will always consider you family.

Please check your emails for more details.

Everyone stay safe and healthy! We hope to see you in the gym this summer.

3/21/2020 Update - With the news that the governor has extended the school closings until at least May 1st, it seems this quarantine may extend on for awhile longer.  In order to combat the "lack of volleyball doldrums," Coach Ali Fell of our 16 Chaos team has decided to create a live workout group to get the girls together (virtually) and  help keep them active while staying-in.   The girls will find these workouts to be challenging, fun, and engaging!

If you're interested in participating, please seek out the private group "COA Tabata-Quarantine Style" on Facebook.  Ali will keep those who have joined the group up to speed on times of workout events.

3/13/2020 Update 2 - With the decision of the Vigo County School Corporation to close schools until after Spring Break, COA VBC will not be hosting any practices until at least April 3rd.  There are no current tournaments scheduled during this period either.  We will communicate any new information as comes in to us,  and we will continue to evaluate options for practices and tournaments as this progresses.  Stay safe and healthy everyone!

3/13/2020 Update - Per recommendations from our sanctioning bodies of AAU and JVA,  COA VBC will shut down all practices through Sunday, March 22nd to limit potential exposure to the Coronavirus.  We will re-evaluate by March 22nd to determine the direction for future practices. If the VCSC does shut down schools, we will not be able to practice while schools are shut down.  Stay healthy!

3/12/2020 Update - All tournaments scheduled for COA teams for the weekend of March 14-15 have been cancelled/postponed due to health concerns related to the COVID-19 coronavirus.

Committed to training the fundamentals of volleyball for all athletes in the Wabash Valley!!

Congratulations 18 Red!

Congratulations to COA 18 Red on their 5th place finish at AAU Nationals in Apex Division! One 18 Red member was presented the award of AAU All Star:  Chloe Mason

COA VBC is proud of all of your accomplishments this season!
